This Privacy Policy explains how the 易问 (Augur) mobile application ("the App"), published by Shenbee ("we", "us"), handles information. By using the App you agree to this policy.
The core of the App — casting a hexagram through the coin ritual and reading the selected classical text (原文) — works fully offline and without an account. If you only use the App this way, we do not collect any personal information; your casting history is stored locally on your device.
To use the online interpretation features, you may sign in with Google. When you do, we receive from Google your email address, display name, and a Google account identifier, which we use to create your account, sync your divination history across the feature, and manage your subscription status. We do not receive your Google password.
When you request an online interpretation, the App stores your divination records — the cast hexagram, the deterministically-selected classical text, your questions, and the interpretation conversation — in our cloud database (Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore). To generate the plain-language interpretation, your question text together with the selected classical text is sent to our interpretation provider, DeepSeek, which processes it to return the interpretation. We send only what is needed to produce the reading; we do not send your name or email to the interpretation provider.
The App offers an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks deeper, multi-turn interpretation and a stronger model. Purchases are processed by Google Play and managed through RevenueCat, Inc., our purchase-infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives your app-user identifier and the purchase/transaction details from the store to validate and restore your subscription. We never receive or store your credit-card or payment details. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.
The App contains no advertising and does not use the device advertising identifier.
Your account record and divination history are retained while your account exists. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@shenbee.com from your account email; we will delete it within 30 days. Uninstalling the App removes the locally-stored history on your device. Purchase records held by Google and RevenueCat are retained according to their respective policies.
Data in transit is protected with TLS encryption, and stored data resides in Google Cloud infrastructure protected by Google's security controls.
The App is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
